As we hit the All Star break its been a great season so far for many teams... Lots of records might be broken and we might have a new Triple Crown winner this season.. As we hit the break we have thirteen teams with 50 or more wins already this season.
This season has been a fun one for baseball fans, as we have a REALLY fun race for the Triple Crown going on right now. The race is between Chris Davis of the O's and Miggy Cabrera of the Tigers. Both have already 95- plus RBI's on the season and both have 30 homeruns. Chris Davis leads Miggy in Homeruns with 37 to his 30.... But then Cabrera leads Davis in the other two categorizes to win the Triple Crown.
There has been two No hitters thrown this year.. The first one came for the Reds Homer Bailey has he threw his 2nd No hitter in his career. Then just Saturday night Tim Lincecum threw his 1st No hitter of his career. Lincecum had to throw 147 pitches for his No hitter but he got it with 13 strikeouts along the way.
Here is a look at how the Standings are mid way through the season...

The Two Wildcards for the National League : Pirates and Reds
If I had to pick a surprise team so far it would have to be The Pittsburgh Pirates .. They had the best record in the Majors for a few weeks and only sit a half game behind the the Cardinals in the National League Central. They are also only two games behind the Red Sox for the best record in the Majors again. The biggest key for the Pirates so far this season has been the pick up they made in the off season in Fransisco Liriano, he is 9-3 with a 2.00 ERA and 80 K's and only 26 walks. He has been a big part of the Pirates so far this season.
The question is will the Pirates be able to keep it up in the second half of the season. Don't be surprised if the Pirates try and pick up a veteran bat for the playoff run.
I will make a Mid season Playoff prediction as well and here it is...
American League
East: Red Sox
Central : Tigers
West: A's
WC : Rays
WC : Rangers
National League
East: Braves
Central : Cardinals
West : Diamondbacks
WC: Pirates
WC: Reds
World Series
Tigers Vs Cardinals ... Tigers in 6
Well see how my predictions go ... till then enjoy the All-Star game!
